Uganda Martyrs Day
Uganda Martyrs Day is celebrated at UMUCCA every second Sunday of June to remember the life, and the sacrifice made by 23 Anglican and 22 Catholic Uganda martyrs, who died for their belief in Christianity in the years between 1885 – to – 1887.
Every year on June the 3rd, Ugandans, Africans, and people from around the world walk and drive long distances to congregate to Namugongo Shrine and remember these Uganda Martyrs.
